This excellent playing flute, made c1840 by Thomas Prowse junior, has been restored by Hammy Hamilton. It does not appear to have had much use over its life, and is ready for many more years of music-making. There are no cracks, the blocks are all intact, and the keys are in excellent order. The flute has a big voice and plays strongly all the way down to the bottom.
