Firth & Hall


An 8-key flute by Firth & Hall dating from c1832. This flute was probably made in London and exported to New York.


Fluted head and barrel, silver salt-spoon keys. All complete and original. Embouchure hole unmolested; lined headjoint with repaired crack (not through embouchure); same in barrel - both repairs stable after a couple of years. Otherwise wood and keywork excellent.


Length 67.1cm. Sounding length 59.2cm. Plays easily at A=440. Comes in original wooden box.
